Loved Paris

We just returned home from an amazing trip to France. 5 days in Paris and 6 in Nice.

We loved Paris. It was fun navigating the city on the Metro. It was very easy to get around. Our favorite was the Musee D%26#39;Orsay. It has amazing paintings. We loved the Seine sightseeing boat that left from Pont-Neuf. It was informative and fun. We did that the first day, and got our first glimpses of the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame.

For dinner, our favorite places to eat were in the Latin Quarter.

We loved the Louvre, Opera de Garnier, Sacre Coure.

Our visit to Ile St. Louis (near Notre Dame) was great. Yummy gelato at Berthillon!

Paris was everything, we thought it would be. We fell in love with France!

If I can be of any help to others, let me know. The wonderful tips we got on this forum helped make our trip fantastic!

If you can go to Nice, definitely go there as well! It was just magnificent!

You are RIGHT. Paris has beauty, harmony in the architecture, (in central Paris), art, culture, gardens, gastronomy, fashion, movies, music, theater, river cruises, easy public transportation, an overall pleasant weather... what else does one need ?

I can honestly say THE OCEAN!! If Paris was located by the Ocean it would be perfect. I think that is why i prefer Barcelona over Paris simple because of the location. I know it might seem silly but i live just outside London and im always in the %26#39;%26#39;enclosed%26#39;%26#39; environment but a city by the ocean is un matched in my opinion.

But apart from that lol you are right Paris is pretty much perfect!
