La Baume campsite with a 1 year old?

Hi we are thinking of booking this camp site and staying in a Bastidon/chalet in september. We have an 18month old baby is this campsite suitable?

Also can anyone tell me if a mobile home or a chalet is better for baby, i have heard the mobiles dont fit travel cots?

Thanks

I too have some questions on the La Baume Campsite. There is two adults and one infant going for a week in early Sept.

We will be flying in to Nice and we dont want to be imprisoned in the resort.

To hire a car wi baby seat for a week is €250ish.

But how does that compare to..

1, Getting to and from the airport

2, probably 2 or 3 days on that costal train up to Monaco/Cannes/St. Tropez etc

3, Another day up to Aix en Provence

and actually getting to and from the campsite to the

train station in Frejus (5 Miles). Is there a local bus in September? 6 or so Taxi Journeys would add up.

I remember that train being excellent (and easy to jump) back in 1994 when I was arseing around as a young man. But now I would like to do it properly.

Any Help is greatly appreciated

Hi, Just back from another holiday on this camp site. In so far as any campsite is suitable for an 18 month old it is fine. Obviously you need to have the toddler under constant supervision with regards the various pools.

Regarding a travel cot, you have a number of options,

Siblu who have mobiles on this site have a van called an excellence 2 bedroom which has a larger than average main bedroom and would fit a travel cot. If you want the toddler in the same room you as you then you will have to go for this option or a chalet or bastides which this camsite have just upgraded some of them to two storey and look quite good. If not having the toddler in the room with is an option then I would recommend most large mobiles which have a good living area, again siblu have an excellence three bedroom(cot wont fit in this main bedroom) or an elegance type. The cot would be in the main living area, may necessitate removal of table in latter mobile.

Hope this is of help.
