Shuttle Or Taxi ?

Hello everyone-

My sister and I will be in Paris September 9th and we need to find the best route to our hotel and to the Eurostar station.

Would it be cheaper to pay for a shuttle van/bus to pick us up ? What about a taxi ? Can you give us the names of some reputable companies ??

Thanks : )

Where will you be staying and how much luggage will you have? The cheapest way is to take the Metro or RER train. Are you arriving on the Eurostar or are you arriving at an airport and then leaving on the Eurostar? (you mention Eurostar) If you have too much luggage to manage the train or Metro, then a shuttle or taxi would be best. A taxi will cost between 45-60E (approximately). A shuttle charges per person and sometimes it is cheaper the more people there are. I use parishuttle and it is 27E for the first person and 20E per person if there are 2-4 people. So that would be 40E which is likely to be cheaper than a cab. Also, in a taxi, they are an additional fee for each bag more than the first bag.

Sorry I wasn%26#39;t specific enough . We will be flying from O%26#39;Hare to CDG. We will be staying at the Moderne St.Germain Hotel and hopefully there will only be two suitcases. Then two days later we will be leaving Paris for London via Eurostar. We will be using the Metro during our visit but since this is our first visit to Paris we%26#39;d prefer to take some sort of chauffered service instead of public transport so we don%26#39;t miss our train to London. However if some one knows which Metro routes ( from CDG to our Hotel %26amp; from the hotel to the Eurostar station) we need to take I%26#39;d appreciate that as well. Thanks again : )

The hotel can call you a cab for the Eurostar. Metro you%26#39;d have to make a transfer, and cab rides in the city are not too bad. At CDG, just head to the taxi line for a Taxi Parisien with the address written down to show to the driver. Pay 1€ per bag plus the metered fare.

I also have the same dilemma. We (3 of us) will be arriving Paris at 6:30pm on a Monday evening. We were thinking of taking the Roissy Bus to Opera then walk the rest of the way to our hotel (Hotel Jules on La Fayette) but that would be quite a walk considering towing a luggage plus the carry on each. But at the same time I don%26#39;t want the taxi driver to laugh when we show him the address of the hotel which is so close yet so far for us. What do you guys think? How%26#39;s the traffic at that time normally? Or should we just take the shuttle instead?

Thank you!
