Disneyland - drinking fountains

Our month in Paris is over this week, and after the 14 July festivities we%26#39;re going to go to Disneyland on Tuesday, before heading home on Wednesday. My questions are: Are there plenty of clean drinking fountains in Disneyland? If not, we won%26#39;t bother taking refillable water bottles.Also, how strict are they about taking no food in? I%26#39;m not thinking about a whole picnic, but rather a bag of madeleines, fruit, etc for snacks.

Our month in Paris has been a wonderful successful - and a large part of that is due to tripadvisor. Thank you for so much help!

I am not trying to be rude here, but I genuinely believe the word %26quot;clean%26quot; should never be linked with %26quot;public drinking fountains.%26quot; Use them at your own risk, anywhere.

Please. If public drinking fountains were any threat at all threat to public health, you%26#39;d see mention of it in the popular press, who would whip an upset tummy into a global epidemic of gastrointestinal diseases. Possibly fatal.

Obviously, if it%26#39;s grubby-looking, you might want to keep looking, but at Disney? I wouldn%26#39;t worry about it.

We all make our own decisions about our personal health -- but let%26#39;s not Chicken Little our way through everything.

Sunshine817, I%26#39;m hardly a %26quot;Chicken Little%26quot;. If you%26#39;re comfortable drinking from a public drinking fountain that previous users may have used as a spittoon, then be my guest. You are being very naive if you think that sort of thing doesn%26#39;t happen.

My advice to trocadero is to take bottled water with him to Disneyland, and I won%26#39;t apologize one bit for that advice.

I was at Disneyland a couple of weeks ago and my sister had no problems finding places to refill her water bottle. I think that there were water fountains outside of most WCs. And no one got sick. I don%26#39;t know about the snacks, but the bag check was very superficial. We had a great time.

There are long, heated threads in the Paris forum about the tap water.

|||

Thanks sewingmolly and others - we%26#39;ll take our bottles.

|||

We filled our water bottles in Disney also....no problems at all.

We%26#39;ve taken water bottles and refilled them. There are loads of water fountains in the parks and on really hot days we were very glad we had our bottles - didn%26#39;t want to buy water every hour. I remember using the ones in Fantasyland near the Italian Ice cream place (sorry can%26#39;t remember the name).

Security checks everyones bags going in, don%26#39;t know if they%26#39;ll remove snacks or not though.
