Travelling with food

Any one any ideas what food we are NOT allowed to take across to France from the UK

We are travelling from Calais to the Vendee with a caravan so dont really want to have to go shopping as soon as we get there - and we have a fridge to keep stuff cool

Can%26#39;t find anything on DEFRA or anywhere??

Any help would be appreciated

thanks

When we had the BSE problems and Foot %26amp; Mouth certainly there was a prohibition on raw and cooked meats.

Not sure at all if it still applies.

I found this document:

http://www.douane.gouv.fr/data/file/1380.pdf

on the French Customs website:

http://www.douane.gouv.fr/menu.asp?id=498

AS far as I can see, there are no food restrictions between EU Member States, and no special mention made regarding the UK, only Third Countries.

Have a look at the site yourself though, you may find out more.

Hope this helps
