Airport to hotel in Beaulieu

Please advise me on the best way to get from the Nice airport to the LeHavre Bleu Hotel in Beaulieu. I am told it is very near the train station there but I wonder if the bus route would be better. Does the #98 bus go to the bus staion and can I get the #100 bus at the bus station? OR does the #98 bus go to the train station and can I then take the train to Beaulieu? Thank you very much for the inforamtion.

I%26#39;m not good on buses because I live in France and drive everywhere. However, there appears to be a 110 bus to Monaco from Nice airport but I don%26#39;t know whether it stops en route - other posters will advise on this.

If not then get the 98 (4 euors per person) to the bus station in Nice and then get the 100 bus (1 euro per person) and tell them the hotel name and they shuld be able to help.

I%26#39;m not sure about what%26#39;s to do in Beaulieu but it has one of the most spectacular backdrops along the coast.

I would get the train from Nice St Augustin (20 minutes to Beaulieu)which is just outside the airport but bus 100 or 81 will take you from Nice bus station to Beaulieu and either will go close to your hotel. Bus 98 goes to the bus station and 99 goes to the train station but it is pointless to go to Nice Ville when St Augustin is so much closer.

Thank you so much for the information. My only remaining question is how do I get from the airport to Nice St Augustin. Then do I take any train that stops going toward Beaulieu? We arrive at 7:45 PM. This is so helpful.

Just to add my twopenn%26#39;orth - DO NOT TAKE THE 110 bus to Monaco, as this goes direct by the motorway from the airport and hence doesn%26#39;t go through Beaulieu.

Le Havre Bleu hotel is on the road that the number 100 bus goes along, so although it may be quicker to get the train from St Augustin, once at Beaulieue station, you%26#39;ll have a bit of a walk, maybe 10 mins with bags, plus the walk from the airport to St Augustin. If you take the 98 bus from airport to Nice bus station, there%26#39;s no walk involved at all, although there may be a wait for the buses. Once at the bus station, just change platforms, then once on the bus 100, ask the driver to drop you off by the hotel.

Glad you mentioned your arrival time as the last bus from Nice leaves at 8.00pm, so train or taxi are your only options. There is a new and very good map on the Nice airport website for finding St Augustin station, nice.aeroport.fr There are trains at 20.12 and 21.02.

It simplifies things if you take the free bus which runs between the terminals (essential if you arrive at T2). Get off at stop Arenas, the first one after terminal 1, walk around the corner of the Paul Augier Hotel School and go straight along the main road. You can see the train line on the opposite side. You are then within a five minute walk of the station.

A taxi all the way to the hotel will cost in the region of 70 euros.

Thanks. I was not able to find the route to the St. Augustin station on the Nice airport site. Could you possibly send me the link? Also, will we be walking with our bags on a main road with no sidewalk? Will there be anyone at the station to sell us a ticket? If we have to use the machine, how tricky is it for someone who knows no French? It sounds like we could be doing this in the dark.I really do not want to take a taxi. I appreciate your help very much. You can tell we need a lot of help.

The construction on the way to the airport is nearing completion now and there is a sidewalk/cycle track pretty much all the way. There are also traffic cones alongside to protect pedestrians.

The ticket office will not be open after about 7.30pm so to buy a ticket you will need to use the yellow machine which is just outside the station.

It is fairly straightforward to use - you just dial up your ticket requirements.

Make sure to take euro coins.

If all else fails, it is rare to encounter a ticket inspector.

It shouldn%26#39;t be completely dark at the time you arrive, but there are street lights and lights at the station.

If your flight arrives at Terminal 2, take the free shuttle to Terminal 1 and stay on it for one more stop to Arenas as mentioned above. This saves maybe 25% of the walk.

If you arrive at Terminal 1 it is often quicker to walk the whole way, rather than wait for a bus unless a shuttle is just about to pull out.

Another option is to catch the Ligne 23 bus from platform 6 at Terminal 1 to Nice St Augustin ( Gare SNCF Saint Augustin is its 2nd stop after T1 and takes about 3 minutes).

The Ligne 23 service runs every 10 to 15 minutes or so and costs 1 euro. This bus drops you by the traffic lights just before the rail station and avoids 80% of the walk. Here is the link to the timetable

Thank you so very much. Do the machines at the train station take only coins? I have 5 Euros in coins and I suspect that will not cover it. I will get some more change at CDG Airport while we are waiting for our flight.

Your directions sound good. This web site is amazing. Thanks to all of you who have responded. I am just so impressed that there are such helpful people who are willing to take the time to help travelers who need help.
