Good restaurant children appropriate

We are travelling to the South-West of France for 2 weeks and wrapping up in Paris for 3 nights.

We are a family of four (11 %26amp; 15 year old children) both are very good travellers and absolutely no fussiness when it comes to food. They eat EVERYTHING and enjoy good food.

Where would you recommend that is good food yet welcomes a pre-teen and teenager?

By the time my child was 11 I expected her to know how to behave in any restaurant. Just pick a place that interests you and have at it, unless you really don%26#39;t trust your kids, in which case I would say get take out for them and go out by yourselves.

Restaurants in Europe in general have no problem with young people, unless they don%26#39;t know how to behave.

Excellent answer Traveler.

Well, fwiw, I took a teenager (16 yrs) to Paris last February and let her choose a place for dinner. She chose La Taverne Sargeant Recruteur on Ile St. Louis. This is not fancy dining. It is serviceable, if unmemorable food. But she absolutely went crazy for the place. You won%26#39;t love or hate it, but your kids might really go nuts for it.

Thanks for the responses,

My concern isn%26#39;t whether or not the kids will behave because if I had any doubt I wouldn%26#39;t even consider taking them to a restaurant. My concern was rather whether the fancier restaurants welcome kids or not.

From your answer, apparently this shouldn%26#39;t pose to be a problem.

Your teens will be welcome everywhere, don%26#39;t worry. French people have a different relationship with restaurants and a lot of people take their kids to restaurants, it is not a problem. Have a look at this recent interesting traveller experience:

Let%26#39;s face it, if restaurants allow French people to take their dogs into restaurants and sit them on their lap, taking teenagers into restaurants is no problem!
