Good: The hotel is located @ Gallieni, the end of Metro line 3. Around the corner is a huge supermarket/shopping mall.
BAD: A tour group hotel, large groups in/out.
Noisy - hallways busy with tramping/running feet. Could hear other showering, scraping hangers across rods.
Rooms are small (of course, France)and worn. Shower was either boiling or cold - couldn%26#39;t regulate. Sometimes we got hand or face towels; sometimes not. Cleaners removed soap; sometimes replace with soap; sometimes not.
Staff sometimes friendly, mostly not.
Continental breakfast, okay, but if a tour group showed up you waited in line up to 15 minutes.
Gallieni is a working class neighborhood. Few brasseries or bistrots around.
I would not stay there again.

There are a few more Campaniles within Paris... one off avenue du Maine (14th), one on Right Bank, maybe 11th or 19th?... I do think it%26#39;s a good idea to try to avoid hotels that are used for tour groups.
