I have never been to Paris, and never been on the Eurostar. We plan to travel to London in September and spend a bit of time in Paris.
When we get off the train in Paris, where exactly will we be? Is the terminal on the outskirts of Paris or near the central area? Is it far from the tourist areas and tourist hotels? We are wondering where to stay that is convenient to the train as we plan to take a very early train back to London as we need to go to Heathrow to fly back out to Canada. How is the best way to travel from central Paris to the train terminal?
Can anyone recommend a reasonable priced hotel that is convenient to the Paris Gare du Nord Eurostar terminal?
Thanks for the info.

Gare du Nord is centrally located. Taxis are available. I happen to stay a short distance away at the Hotel Vivienne.

As the previous poster said, Gare du Nord is centrally located. You should be able to stay in almost any arrondisemont(sp?) and be able to get there fairly quickly early in the morning. Also, have you thought about going back to London the night before your flight?
