Hiya,
Looking at a website the other day i found a pass for 50euros which said you can use on any of the transport systems in Paris. This was for 5 days. Does anyone know much about this, and is it just unlimited use of everything, no restrictions?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Natalie

Difficult to say, if you don%26#39;t know where you saw this 50 euro pass. But the most expensive Paris Visite pass (5 days, zones 1-6) costs €47, so maybe that is what you mean.
Zones 1-6 cover the entire Paris area including suburbs - but a lot of tourists travel mostly in zones 1 and 2. Only for destinations like the airports, Versailles (zone 4) or Disneyland Paris (zone 5) you would need a ticket for more zones. Tickets and passes for less zones are of course cheaper.
The Paris Visite pass (and most other tickets and passes from the Paris transport authority RATP) can be used on the bus, metro and RER, tramway and funicular. It%26#39;s not for OpenTour bus tours, Voguéo boat, taxis, and other commercial transport.
With a bit of planning, you%26#39;ll probably find that you can travel cheaper than €47 for 5 days. For example, there are Mobilis day tickets for zones 1-2 that cost €5.80, and Carte Orange week cards for zones 1-2 that cost €16.80.
Note that you may need a passport picture (for the carte orange) and that you need to fill in the card/ticket completely, or you can get a fine - this is all explained on the RATP website (in French) and also on the backside of the Paris Visite pass (in English) but a lot of people don%26#39;t read it. Also, the carte orange is valid from monday morning to sunday night, and is only sold on some days of the week.
Normal tickets (€1.60 or €11.40 for ten) are valid for one trip on the entire metro network, and can also be used for travel within zones 1-2 on buses, RER and funicular.

Thanks for the reply everyone.
I am staying for 5 days, 4 nights.
Travelling into Charles de Gaulle airport. i would like to then get the train to Gare de Lyon where my hotel is.
I need to travel back and forth to Disneyland for 2 of those days, then of course i would liek to go Sighseeing around paris on the remaining days, using the metro etc.
Just trying to find the best way really.
Thanks
Natalie
