We will be staying in Rambouillet for 1 week and will be going into Paris at least 3 times and to Disneyland Paris (once only). Could anyone tell me what Zone Rambouillet is in and what is the best travel option. I am thinking of buying Paris Visite Travel cards.

Rambouillet is south-west of Paris in travel zone 6 (about 50 km to the centre of Paris). You will need to take the train, and change to RER or metro later. From Rambouillet to Disneyland Paris takes 2 hours or more - it%26#39;s not a convenient location...
Without knowing what day you arrive, and where you want to travel during this week, it is difficult to say whether a Paris Visite pass is the best choice - it%26#39;s often not the cheapest option. The Carte Orange week card (which starts on monday morning) could work out cheaper, and there are also Mobilis day tickets.

Hi,
The SNCF station in Rambouillet is zone 6.
On which day of the week will your journey begin? If I know this, I%26#39;ll be able to tell you if you%26#39;d better buy a Paris Visite or a Carte Orange.

sorry, JanToo, didn%26#39;t see your answer (we probably answered at the same time).

Thank you both. We will be going into Paris /Disney Monday to Friday.

In that case Carte Orange zones 1-6 will be the best deal (it%26#39;s valid from Monday to Sunday and it costs less than Paris Visite for 5 days)
