Hi all,
Just wondering whether there%26#39;s a good website for getting travel times, distances and directions for road trips in France? In Australia, where I am from, there is a site called whereis, where you just type in your start address and destination address and it tells you where to go etc. Is there a similar thing for French road travel???
Thanks!

Here%26#39;s another-

Both of these resources are repeated on this forum many times weekly.
One fine point, if you are interested in route information about France, replacing %26quot;.com%26quot; or %26quot;.co.uk%26quot; with %26quot;.fr%26quot; as in %26quot;mappy.fr%26quot; will default the country values to France. The site is thusly presented in French but many users might find this shortcut useful.

Nobody has mentioned Google maps. Easy to search for your locations. But if you know your base its easy to drag the end point to various places to find times %26amp; distances to places you are considering. I%26#39;ve worked out 16 %26amp; 23 night tours very simply this way.

Thanks for the advice - one more question along the same lines: is there a site where I can find the best/shortest walking route between two points in Paris? With all the one-way streets, the directories mentioned above go in a very round-a-bout way to a destination, and seeing as we%26#39;ll often be on foot I was wondering whether there%26#39;s an option that shows you the quickest direct route, with distances and directions. Thought that%26#39;s probably asking too much but just in case...!

For walking in a city, there is no substitute for carrying an old fashioned street map with you.
