If you%26#39;re right in St Tropez, the closest beaches are Plage des Canebiers and Plage des Graniers. These two are family-oriented beaches, with a sailing club on one, a large bay in front of you and plenty of famous villas hidden in the hills.

The very famous beaches are east of St Tropez: Plage de Tahiti and the long stretch of Plage de Pampelonne. Buses go back and forth from St Tropez to these beaches.

Pampelonne is 5km long, with golden sand. In the summer, it%26#39;s sliced up into smaller private beaches with their own beach hut/restaurant, plump beach mattress, bar with exotic drinks. Each section has its own style, from flamboyant to on the hunt to family to business.

I recommend you make your way to Tahiti and Pampelonne. Then walk around (it%26#39;s lllong) and see what appeals to you.

There%26#39;s always some room on the public and free section of the beach too.

Enjoy!
