can anyone advise me please? this will be my first trip to paris which i plan to take at the end of september. i had planned to take the train to london and then the eurostar to paris. am i right in thinking the eurostar goes to gare du nord train station in paris? and is this the closest station to the main sites of paris? can anyone recommend a good cheap place to stay with achild? i preferably would like somewhere close to eiffel tower, and not far to get to eurodisney for a day. also, if anyone recommends a place to stay could you say roughly how much you think it would cost in a taxi to get there? i saw on a post that someone had stayed at hotel du champs de mars and that it was right next to eiffel tower. said taxi only cost 13euros from station though. not sure if that is right? anyway, any info would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks!

I can answer your first two questions:
Yes, the Eurostar goes from St. Pancras to Gare du Nord in Paris.
No, Gare du Nord isn%26#39;t really near any tourist sites. Most of the sites are near the banks of the Seine. Gare du Nord is deep in the north of town.

One more thing-
The Eiffel Tower is in the western end of the city. Disneyland Paris is beyond the eastern end, past the city limits. You can%26#39;t be near both.

how long are you staying? That helps to know what else you could do. There are lots of parks with play areas for the littlies.
