normandy 8 nights

hi all

my wife and i are taking the ferry from ireland to land in cherbourg on 8th sept.

i intend (although im a bit worried about driving in a different country) to take our car and travel about normandy and possibly brittany (not sure if we have enough time to properly do both)

i plan to go to bayeux 1st.is this wise from cherbourg? wish to take 2 days to do tours of and visit the WW2 sites, ive seen that the Churchill hotel is a good place to stay for this reason.

should one simply say there as a base to see the rest of the area or move on to a more central place to see the other areas of interest. if so could you recommend a nice b%26amp;b ...maybe one with a nice bar nearby (spot the irishman!)

would i be overstretching myself to go to brittanY....there seems like theres more to see in normandy.... we go back to cherbourg on 16th sept.

cant wait for the holiday!!!!

You also sent me a private message asking a lot of these questions, which I answered in some detail. Did you not receive that?

A lot of the tours leave from the car park behind the Churchill but Bayeux is such a small town that any of the hotels will be close enough.

YOu won%26#39;t find many B%26amp;Bs with bars close by, most are in the country or small towns and unless they are on the coast or a tourist town, such as Bayeux, the bars are pretty basic and not particularly well frequented by women.

thanks.....yep i know i left a post before....(initially my plans were cancelled due to work committments.......but now its full steam ahead for sept, unfortunately i didnt still have your reply and my previous post (or so i stupidly thought) and decided to leave another post to try and confirm all.

how are you fixed for a stay possibly on 13, 14 of september?
