Need a Plan - HELP

Hi:

I am a single over 40 going to paris alone...I want to take an intensive course for one week at alliance francaise in the 6th....

ebjoy more of a real french lifestyle, shop antiques, cosmetics, reasonabl y priced clothes, visit markets, boutiques...

not a real history buff...did that already

I am kind of the artsy type...and adventuresome.

I want a plan ...and BEST ARRONDISSMENT to stay IN ...

Well, don%26#39;t cancel your existing lodging until you have a confirmed reservation elsewhere. Sept/Oct a very popular time to visit Paris. Can you give us a nightly budget so that people can recommend a hotel within it? Btw, I wouldn%26#39;t consider rue Cler either artsy or adventuresome :):)

It would make more sense to stay in the 6th. Have you made arrangements for your course?

Sounds like the Marais (4th) is the place for you. Funky boutiques, great bars and restaurants - arty and reasonably adventuresome...
