We%26#39;re off to Paris in three weeks time, and always love the different street markets. I know that August is probably the worst time in the year for markets, but does anyone have any advice about which markets will still be worth a visit then?
Thanks

Hi;
There are a few different types of street markets in Paris.
There are the established markets streets %26quot;marche couvert%26quot; such as rue Daguerre in the 14th, Montorgueil in the 1st, Mouffetard in the 5th.
Then there are the %26quot;marche volants%26quot;, food markets that show up in places, under metros, or in parking lots, on specific days in many quartiers around Paris.
Here is a link for a listing of markets and their operating days:

Yes, many of the sellers leave for vacation during august but the markets still function and the larger ones will still have plenty to offer.
The Bastille market is a great Sunday market as is the one at metro Motte Piquet.
President Wilson on Wednesday%26#39;s and Saturday%26#39;s is especially good...
Check out the listing. People still gotta eat during August...
