Thanks!!

Just a quick note to say that myself and my girlfriends had a fantastic time in Nice last week.

The weather was stunning, in fact a little too hot to rush around doing everything we wanted to (just means we have to go back again sometime). We spent an evening in Monaco visiting a friend of mine and a day in Antibe which I found absolutely beautiful.

We encountered some less than tourist-friendly locals on our first night; pouring bleach from their apartment window onto the people smoking outside a bar below and then appearing on the street with sticks. We spent quite a surreal half an hour locked in the bar awaiting the police whilst windows (and a nose) were broken outside. We%26#39;d seen enough by that point not to let it put us off the place though!!!

Other than that our week was spent wandering through the old town, eating, drinking, eating some more, lazing on the beach, eating some ice cream (fe and taking in a little culture in the form of the Matisse Museum - a very pleasant suprise for the 2 of us that aren%26#39;t usually art lovers. I reccommend the train up to Le Chateau; we had a very pleasant lunch up there, difficult to believe somewhere in touching distance of a huge city could be quite so peaceful!

The one disappointment was being unable to eat at the Cafe De Turin as one of our party is vegetarian and every single dish on their menu contains some manner of fish. That left 2 slightly subdued seafood enthusiasts until we found ourselves a %26quot;mixed grill de la mer%26quot; in the old town! We also had the best Moules I%26#39;ve ever tasted at a small restaurant on the Cours Saleya unfortunately I can%26#39;t remember what it was called but it had very extravagant highbacked chairs and huge wine glasses!

Very impressed with the local bus service at 1 euro per trip between coastal resorts, clean and on time.

All in all a week well spent, many thanks to the people at www.nicestudios.co.uk for their helpfulness and lovely vieux Nice apartment.

We%26#39;ll be back :D

Well there%26#39;s a tourist attraction I hadn%26#39;t come across of before - street brawling - definitely something for the fight fans to check out. Sounds exciting.

Turin is a seafood restaurant. I don%26#39;t get it with these %26quot;veggies%26quot; How do they know lentils don%26#39;t have feelings? I%26#39;m for Vegetable Rights!

Thanks for feedback!

So, where exactly were you when the fight broke out and what are you demographics?

Can I point out here that we were just witnesses to the trouble and were inside the bar whilst it all went on. I fail to see that our demographic is important.
