Rain in August!!

Okay so im just planning my trip for next month and thought id take a quick look at the average weather. To my horror it showed August as having the most rainfall in the whole year, aaarrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Does it really rain so much in August! England is a total wash out at the moment and dont think i could cope with more rain, especially on my jollys! ;-)

Who knows! weather equally bad on this side of the Pennines. I%26#39;m off to Paris next weekend and am expecting hot, but occasionaly showery. Been in August and it was almost too hot to walk around. Take a brolly and sun-cream and a cover-up. All eventualities covered ...

Hi;

Looking at the averages for the year, you%26#39;ll see that rainfall in Paris is pretty consistent from month to month, with February and August being driest.

These stats 2008 updated from the World Weather Service.

Paris weather can be changeable and predicting what it will be from one day to the next a frustrating occupation.

It is often more showery than rain.

Take a quality collapsible umbrella and make the most of the many indoor spaces when the showers come.

I%26#39;ve a %26quot;glass half full%26quot; friend who refers to rain as %26quot;liquid sunshine%26quot;. The only power we have over the day to day weather is to choose to enjoy it... or not.

Regardless of the weather, you%26#39;ll be in Paris. Every month is great. Ok, maybe not February, but the other eleven are great!

Wherever I travel from March to November, I carry a lightweight raincoat and put my rainhat into the pocket.

Sometimes when you%26#39;re on holidays it will rain on one day, even if you%26#39;re in the Sahara.

I don%26#39;t pack an umbrella, they%26#39;re just a nuisance. I do pack my ski silks because often when it rains there is a huge drop in temperature. The silks occupy less space and weigh less than an umbrella, and keep me much warmer.
