A Weekend in Normandy

We are staying in Bordeaux with some French friends in early July, but due to a %26#39;communication error%26#39; my wife and I have just found ourselves at a loose end on the weekend of 19/20 July before we catch our ferry back from Caen on the 21st.

We%26#39;d like to spend that weekend in Normandy so can anyone recommend a town/village to focus on (preferably not too touristy) where we might find a nice little B%26amp;B?

I am worried that everywhere may be fully booked at this late stage, so if anyone knows any nice campsites, that would also be much appreciated!

Best regards,

Dodie

Hi

We recently stayed at a lovely B%26amp;B near Aumale in Normandy - Basse Copette - do a search we%26#39;ve placed a review and photographs.

The location is convenient for the coast, Rouens and Amiens

Looks lovely but a long way from Caen for the ferry. We are halfway between Mont St Michel, the D-Day beaches and Bayeux and could help on the night of the 20th July but we are fully booked on the 19th. You can find reviews of La Thiaumerie on this website.
