Luggage storal in Central Paris

I have been advised by the apartment rental company I am using, that due to the increased security (over Terrorism) Paris no longer has %26quot;Left Luggage%26quot; facilties.

A quick %26quot;google%26quot; leaves me wondering whether this is a sales trick to get a posible extra days booking?

Can anyone advise on storage facilities?

Many Thanks.

Try the nearest train station. At Gare Montparnasse, we used a storage locker in the %26quot;Consigne%26quot; for our bags for a few hours before our train left so we could stroll the neighborhood. They have airport-like security that you must pass through in order to use the lockers (although you keep your shoes on and the liquids restriction isn%26#39;t in effect!) It wasn%26#39;t cheap - a locker large enough to store three small suitcases was 9E50 (not sure what the maximum time limit is for that fee.)

Some of the Paris railway stations have %26quot;consignes automatiques%26quot; - luggage storage facilities.

Currently, only the Gare du Nord, Gare de l%26#39;Est and Gare de Lyon have luggage facilities (the other stations no longer offer this service). But these also can be closed temporarily for security reasons (%26quot;vigipirate%26quot; security scheme). I can%26#39;t tell whether this is the case at this moment - even information about the current Vigipirate level (yellow/orange/red/scarlet) doesn%26#39;t seem to be available online.
