We%26#39;re spending 2 nights staying in Villeneuve at the beginning of August in Hotel de l%26#39;Atelier.
For eating at night are we best to walk into Avignon or stay in Villeneuve?
Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I have just come from Villeneuve-les-avignon last week and even though I am not sure of dining at night, I am sure of a wonderful place to eat for lunch or dinner there and in Avignon. The name of the place in Villeneuve is Monto Bistro Funk and it is located at the tennis club. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is pretty cool too. The inside is covered in amateur art and if you sit outside you may catch a local tennis match on the clay courts. I enjoyed an amazing salad with tuna steak and a melted chocolate cake. The menu changes daily but of all the times I have eaten here I have not had a bad experience. The owners Thomas and Olivier who are very personable and speak perfect English, also own the Metropolitan located in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Avignon. Both of these restaurants are amazing and are worth the research.
